Abstract Submissions are CLOSED for ECO 2025!
Past Submission Reference
The 49th annual Ecological Community Psychology Conference (ECO) will be hosted by the University of Illinois Chicago from November 7–8, 2025.
This year’s theme–Community Resilience and Resistance–invites us to connect with one another and the communities we collaborate with. We are confident ECO will promote meaningful conversations, powerful skill-building, and a reconceptualization of the systems within which we exist. In light of ongoing challenges to scientific and equity-focused research and practice, this year’s conference will focus on community resilience and resistance for transformative action. In the spirit of togetherness, we would love for you to join us for the full two days of the conference.
The submission deadline for proposals is now Monday, September 8th at 11:59pm CT.
We are accepting submissions in the following formats:
-
Poster – Visual presentations of research, practice, or community projects.
-
Individual paper/presentation – Individual presentations (15–20 minutes each) will be grouped into symposia by conference organizers
-
Symposium – A single submission for a session that will include 3-4 presentations (45-60 minutes)
-
Roundtable – Facilitated, discussion-based sessions aimed at dialogue, idea-sharing, and collective problem-solving (45–60 minutes each)
